Transurban Festival's opening featured a live building projection by Catag

Transurban is an urban art and culture festival that took place in six cities in 2017, including Cologne. Catag, the art duo, performed a live building projection at the festival’s opening. The festival is a traveling laboratory that explores public spaces and urban artworks in different cities through a built-out sea container. The Urban Art Archive, which is part of the festival, is a digital and spatially structured interactive database that catalogs, locates, connects and makes information about urban art available in a systematic way. The archive collects texts, images, locations, and data on urban art, enabling visitors to explore and document artistic interventions and appropriation processes in urban space. Transurban is supported by the Ministry for Culture and Science of the German State of North Rhein-Westphalia, Fonds Jonge Kunst and Consulate Generale of the Netherlands.
